In three critical battleground states, Hillary Clinton is seen as not honest and trustworthy. A new poll, released this morning by Quinnipiac University, shows Clinton is viewed skeptically by a majority of voters in Colorado, Iowa, and Virginia.
Hillary Clinton and her campaign went to great lengths a few months ago to demonstrate exactly how “cheap” they were. The idea was this: get stories written about how frugal Clinton’s campaign is so Clinton’s 2008 donors won’t feel burned again by her lavish spending.
Hillary Clinton is so eager to avoid speaking to the press that she and her team sped away from an event in Mason City, Iowa yesterday at 95 miles per hour, according to the Daily Mail.
While the event Clinton was fleeing was public, the one she was heading to was not. The van containing pool coverage reporters was not aware of another scheduled event.
Clinton’s aides kept the existence of the party a secret, leaving it off of the schedule circulated to reporters who cover her events in a rotating ‘pool.’
Daily Mail Online only found the location after trailing the candidate’s motorcade at a distance for an 85 miles trek, at speeds reaching 95 mph.

In a competitive Democrat primary for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, former SNL cast member Gary Kroeger has declared his support for a carbon tax:
“I support a carbon tax as a simpler and more transparent way to control dangerous carbon dioxide. Because certain carbon intensive industries create this negative outcome, a tax will encourage cleaner alternatives and the revenue raised could be used to subsidize those alternatives as well as to repair damage caused by pollutants.”
Where do his fellow progressive challengers Monica Vernon and Ravi Patel stand on the expensive carbon tax?
Iowa Democrat Matt McCoy “is seriously considering a challenge” to Rep. David Young in IA-03. Unfortunately for McCoy, not everyone is thrilled with that idea.
McCoy’s past isn’t exactly squeaky clean, which could be the source of Democrats’ unease:
“In 2005, McCoy was accused of funneling money from a businessman to a Democratic gubernatorial candidate, and he agreed to pay a fine to settle the accusations in 2008.”
“He was indicted on a federal extortion charge in 2007, when he was accused of “threatening to use his influence as a senator to force a business partner to pay him $2,000,” according to a report from the Associated Press.”
