Democrat Senator Lies To Tornado Victim To Produce Attack Ad

Pryor Arkansas Comes First

Yesterday, The Associated Press reported that Mark Pryor (D-AR) lied to a tornado victim to gain access to his property to shoot an attack ad against Tom Cotton. The tornado victim said that he was under the impression that the footage of the damage on his property was going to be used to draw attention to cleanup efforts, not a political attack ad:

Boydston said he had agreed to allow Pryor’s campaign to shoot video on the property last month, but said he was under the impression it was to draw attention to cleanup efforts in Mayflower. Pryor’s campaign last week posted the video, which features interviews with Mayor Randy Holland and other community leaders criticizing Cotton over his past votes against disaster aid and accusing him of being absent from Mayflower and Vilonia in the tornado’s aftermath. The April 27 storms that hit Arkansas are blamed for 16 deaths and caused millions of dollars in damage.

“I didn’t think it was going to be a political ad,” Boydston said.

Pryor has proven he’ll say and do anything to keep his seat in Washington, including lie to a tornado victim in order to score cheap political points.

Begich & Pryor Refused To Call For Shinseki Ouster

This morning, VA Secretary Eric Shinseki offered his resignation to President Obama. The resignation came after more than 100 members of Congress in both parties called for Shinseki to step down, in light of the growing problems facing the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Two Democrat Senators up for re-election in 2014 who did not find enough evidence in the Inspector General’s report to call for Shinseki’s ouster: Mark Begich (D-AK) and Mark Pryor (D-AR).

Just yesterday, Pryor said he was still “not yet” ready to call for Shinseki to resign from the VA. Why? Evidently the tragedy in Phoenix in which 40 veterans died while waiting for care on a secret waiting list was not enough for Pryor, who said:

“I want to see how widespread this is. I want to see what is going on there. I want to get inside the numbers a little bit, not just the big top line number.”

Also yesterday, Begich held a press conference, specifically about veterans’ issues. When asked if Shinseki should resign, the AP reports Begich was “reserving judgment.”

It’s not clear what these senators were looking for, but what is clear is that they failed to stand up for the thousands of veterans in their states.

Mark Pryor On Shinseki’s Resignation From The VA: “Not Yet”

Today, when asked if Secretary Shinseki should resign from the VA after an IG report detailed the severity of the scandal, Mark Pryor replied: “Not yet.”

Pryor’s “not yet” remarks came after the release of a scathing IG report:

IG Report Headline

Why is this IG report and its shocking contents not enough for Pryor to hold Shinseki accountable for the VA’s mismanagement?

Tom Steyer’s Secret “Green” Agenda In Red States

Snape

News broke yesterday that Tom Steyer, the ultra-rich liberal environmentalist, would be financing political campaigns in four states that are key to Democrats holding onto the Senate in 2014. Steyer, who has pledged to spend $100 million in 2014, and his super PAC will be going after the Republican nominees in Colorado, Michigan, New Hampshire and Iowa.

Absent from Steyer’s list of states he plans to target are places like Louisiana, Arkansas, and North Carolina. Steyer will stay away from those states because his anti-energy message is so extreme and toxic to voters there – he doesn’t want to hurt Mary Landrieu, Mark Pryor or Kay Hagan in their re-election efforts. But Steyer is doing all he can to help these Democrats behind the scenes so they can help him push through his radical, anti-energy agenda in the Senate. He recently became the largest single donor to Harry Reid’s super PAC when he contributed $5 millionto the group. Steyer will be looking for a return on his investment in November. Voters beware.

5 Outrageous Democrat Attacks On Veterans

Why do Democrats keep attacking their opponents’ military record?

1. Yesterday, The Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee attacked GOP candidate Lee Zeldin (NY-1) for being a “coward.” Zeldin is a member of the Army Reserves and was “a paratrooper with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, where he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.” Piling on the insults, a DCCC spokesman tweeted a picture of Zeldin’s face photo-shopped onto the Wizard Of Oz’s Cowardly Lion:

2. In Arkansas, Senate Candidate Tom Cotton was accused by Democrat Senator Mark Pryor of having a “sense of entitlement” from his years of military service:
